本领域农业硕士是与农作物、园艺作物高产高效生产技术与生产组织管理，农业新技术的示范与推广，区域种植制度的规划设计与可持续发展，新品种的选育，生态农业与现代农业模式，宏观农业等方面任职资格相联系的专业学位，主要涉及农作物和园艺作物的种质资源、遗传育种、栽培技术、病虫草害防治及采后处理、贮藏加工、运输销售等基本原理及生产技术等领域。研究方向包括健康食味稻米绿色生产技术、设施园艺植物绿色生产技术和地方特色园艺植物的开发研究三个方向。
