本专业是首批国家一流本科专业建设点，旨在培养和造就创新能力强、适应经济社会发展需要的各类高素质应用型人才。通过机械设计、机械原理、机械制造工艺、机械系统驱动及控制和计算机应用基础等课程使学生在获得现代机械工程师基本训练的同时又能提升机械产品设计、设备控制与制造以及生产组织管理等方面的综合能力。

This major is the first batch of national first-class undergraduate majors. It aims to train and cultivate kinds of high-quality engineering talents who have strong innovation capacity to meet the demands of economic and social development. It provides students with the general knowledge of this major such as the principles and methods of mechanical design, the principles and technologies of mechanical manufacturing engineering, the drive and control in mechanical system and basics for computer application, which enable students to acquire basic training of modern mechanical engineer and improve their basic ability of mechanical product design, manufacturing & equipment control and production organization management.
